OUR STORY
In 2010 my wife informed me she wanted chickens. Back then in order to keep chickens you had to live on a small hobby farm, so at that moment our adventure began.
Being a trained chef my wife just couldn't stop with farm fresh eggs. Soon we added lambs, meat chickens, and even a few turkeys for the Holidays. Being an avid hunter meant I was somewhat experienced in the processing part of the equation. That knowledge did make our transition much easier than it may have looked from the outside.
Well in 2010 we also had a 9yo. He wasn't crazy about leaving all his friends in the neighborhood, but over time the transition seemed to get easier. As you can see this is the 1st egg of many he has collected as part of his normal daily chores. He seemed thrilled about it too. He must have known that was just one of thousands to come. Today he not only collects eggs, but he cares for all of our layers as well as all of our quail. Fun, Fun, Fun!!!
