Our Girls

This is the one and only Glowbug (left)!! Glowbug  was our very 1st dairy goat.  She was purebred American Alpine and was registered with the ADGA.  She passed away this spring after kidding season.  She was 11 years old.  We had plan on retiring her after last kidding season, but in October she jumped the buck fence.  Glowbug was just like that.  She was the alpha goat and she will be missed!!

Mocha (right) came to farm just over 2 years ago.  My wife and I fell in love with her mother who lives on a friends farm.  Mocha's mother currently milks just at 2 gallons a day.  She is 1/2 Oberhasli and 1/2 Toggenburg.  Last year she had twins of her own that were sold to another farm right around the corner. This spring she had another set of twins. Mocha is currently part of our goat share program.

These two girls are 1yo twin sisters.  They are Gidget on the left and Vicki in the right.  Both are registered Oberhasli which is a full size Alpine type breed.  These girl's mother gave over a gallon a day last season. Vicki will be heading to a friends homestead after kidding season, and Gidget will become part of our goat share program.

Our Boys

This is Chewie (right) and Skip (left).  Chewie is our Oberhasli buck.  He is 2 1/2 years old and is a proven herd sire.  Skip is Chewie's first thrown kid with Glowbug. He is what we call a whether (fixed).  We keep him in the buck pasture with Chewie, so that he wont be lonely.  Goats are very social and should never be kept alone.
